Our Story
Occupying the East 57th Street former home of Neary’s – the legendary Irish pub that stood as a neighborhood institution for 57 years – The Derby Club blends the unabashedly social and theatrical days of New York dining with a fresh culinary vision.
Celebrated Chef Ed Cotton and acclaimed restaurant partners pay homage to an era when dining out was glamorous, social, and eventful in their reimagination of this storied space.
The Setting
The Derby Club pays homage to its predecessor while introducing the grandeur of late 20th-century dining and refined elements of modern-day restaurant spaces. Guests will enter to find the original cherry-wood bar leading to the intimate 38-seat dining room lined with ruby red banquettes.
A mural by Philadelphia’s acclaimed Bird Studio honoring the neighborhood’s history with a landscape of Sutton Place and the East River adorns the west wall.
Visit Us
Derby Club is located at 358 E 57th St in the Sutton Place neighborhood of New York City. It is open for dinner seven days a week from 5 p.m., with the bar opening at 4 p.m.
